Injecting Dermal Filler Steps

Step 1: Mapping and assessment of the face

We will evaluate your face’s skin tone, markings, elasticity, and wrinkles to find appropriate spots for fillers as well as ask the patient what they are wanting. This can include taking before pictures for post-treatment comparison.

Step 2: Clean and prep the area

An antibacterial agent will be applied to the face to eliminate bacteria followed by a numbing anesthetic ointment or local anesthesia depending on the area being treated.

Step 3: Injection

The procedure only takes a few minutes per treated area. The filler is directly injected into the site increasing the tissue layers to push out unwanted lines, wrinkles, and help give volume to the skin.

Step 4: Cleanse and heal

Once the patient is happy with the results, the area will be cleansed. We will give you the necessary advice for healing to ensure minimal downtime.

How Long Do Fillers Last

Depending on the type of filler, these can last anywhere from 6 to 18 months. They will dissolve naturally overtime, and this is when you need to come in for another treatment. There are numerous brands of fillers, and we are happy to find one that works best for you during a consultation.
