Honest review. I have had moles cut off for biopsies for years and years now. Mrs. Otero has been such a blessing for me to find! She will be as conservative or aggressive as you want. She gave me the option to watch a spot or to take it right away. I wanted to be done with it and asked for the biopsy so I didn’t have to think about it. It ended up being nothing (like she assumed) but it was so nice to have a choice! She also leaves as minimal scarring as possible. She actually cares about leaving marks on me, where in the past I’ve been so scarred from the same exact procedure. She is thorough with her checks as well. I know she isn’t aware, but I finally don’t freak out for my visits because of her.

Wonderful doctor

On an annual visit with Joseph White, he noticed a mole like growth on my forehead. I have many moles and had thought nothing of it. He removed it and a biopsy confirmed it was melanoma, a cancer. He recommended surgery. I followed through and am thankful for an early diagnosis of this deadly cancer. I will happily continue visiting on the recommended basis.

He is always pleasant, helpful, reassuring, and, more importantly, comprehensive in his exams and processes.

I am out in the sun alot on sailboats and doing yard work and gardening. When I saw a strange discoloration under both of my big toenails, I was concerned that it might be melanoma. MSN/APN Jennifer Smith put my mind at ease diagnosing liley trauma to one toenail and gettig older changes in toe nail growth in the other. I plan on more annual vists now to guard against too late detection of skin cancer.

Efrain removed a tiny mole that he thought was suspicious in 2018. The pathology came back as melanoma in situ, requiring a more invasive biopsy by Dr. Freedman. Dr. Freedman complimented Efrain's skill in identifying the mole as suspicious. Six years later, I still see Efrain every six months, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I've been seen and treated by Doc Kessel for over 20 years, he's never rushed me in any appointment, asks questions and listens of my concerns and elevates stress on issues I need treated as simple removals and no further action needed on many occasions. He always does a great job taking care of issues that have arose over the years. When diagnostic tests/biopsies are needed, he follows up and calls with results and if follow ups are needed. Knowing he will add a great level of confidence that when he is caring for me, everything will be ok.

Prompt, pleasant, didactic. However, two nights later I noticed what I thought was a pimple under my left breast so ‘popped’ it and a hard specimen popped out which I have retained for examination if need be. It turns out that this was just a portion of the trouble spot so am wondering if I should come in again? Also, not sure if it’s in my records but probably should be added that I had uterine cancer 25 yrs ago and my grandmother died of lymph node cancer. And a cousin died of cancer (same side of family).

NORMAL SKIN CANCER EVALUATION

Very good, except for check-in. I completed the check-in procedure online answering all questions. At the office I was given a pad and asked to answer ALL the same questions again giving insurance info, etc. Was not too happy having to answer all the questions again. When a patient completes a pre check-in, the office needs to check to see if the forms were filled in online or not before the patient arrives.

In June, I had basel cell removed on my back by a different surgeon. It was not a good experience. The wound got a bacterial infection. So I was nervous to have surgery on my neck. Dr. Freedman was excellent. The stitches came out and it looks great. I'm glad I gave Kessel dermatology another chance. I would definitely recommend Dr Freedman.

I was in desperate need of a doctor because I was itchy all over my body. I couldn't stop scratching. Even my scalp was driving me in sane. I was at the point of scratching my skin off my whole body. So my doctors nurse in the wound center of capital health called your office and you let me come in the same day and Dr. Alena took me and prescribed a cream and in a coupe of days I felt wonderful again.
