What Can Microneedling Treat?

How Does Microneedling Work?

The skin-repair process occurs in three phases:

Phase I: Inflammation

Phase II: Proliferation

New cells and extracellular matrix begin rebuilding the treated tissue, while a new network of blood vessels develops.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

Some improvement may be visible after the first treatment, but most patients benefit from a series of approximately three to six treatments spaced about one month apart.

The number of treatments recommended will depend on the condition being treated, its severity, and your individual goals.

Following your aftercare instructions is also important to achieving the best possible result.

What Should I Expect After Microneedling?

Immediately after treatment, your skin may appear red and feel mildly swollen or sensitive. Very small puncture marks may also be visible.

These effects are generally most noticeable during the first 24 hours and typically improve over the following two to three days.

There are usually no restrictions on normal activity, and most patients return to their daily routine immediately.
